Litigation Attorney for West Palm Beach Office

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in South Florida. This position focuses on litigation, allowing the attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury cases without the responsibility of pre-suit work. The firm handles diverse areas of law, including auto accidents, medical malpractice, negligent security, and sexual assault cases. Duties:

• Manage a litigation caseload of 35-40 files, including personal injury cases.
• Handle all aspects of the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trials.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Work on cases involving auto accidents, medical malpractice, negligent security, and sexual assault (both state and federal).
• Focus on litigation only—no pre-suit casework required.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and, where necessary, trials to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Receive guaranteed compensation based on the results of settlements and verdicts.

Requirements:

• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar (required).
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
• Strong trial experience (preferred).
• Experience in handling diverse areas of personal injury law, including auto accidents, medical malpractice, and negligent security cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (training provided as needed).
• Experience with FileVine case management system preferred (training provided).

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida (required).
