Job Title: Attorney 

Job Overview:
A Wellesley-based law firm is actively seeking a licensed attorney with mid-level experience to join its team focused on serving public sector clients. Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and advice to public entities and officials on matters related to governance, zoning, employment, and regulatory compliance

  • Handle court filings, motions, and pleadings for state and administrative litigation

  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare opinion letters on a range of public sector issues

  • Assist in matters involving municipal decision-making, ordinance drafting, and regulatory frameworks

  • Attend board meetings and public hearings as needed to support client representation

  • Engage in settlement discussions and negotiate resolutions where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in municipal law, litigation, or closely related areas

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with governmental operations and administrative law procedures is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing
