A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead and manage a team responsible for handling personal injury cases from inception to settlement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing case managers, case manager assistants, intake specialists, and lien negotiators to ensure efficient case management and negotiation of settlements. The position requires effective collaboration with the litigation team and regular communication with clients to provide updates and address inquiries.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a team of case managers and case manager assistants for the proper management of personal injury cases from start to finish.
  • Oversee intake specialist to ensure timely follow-up and signing of potential clients.
  • Supervise lien negotiator to ensure timely negotiation of liens with medical providers.
  • Ensure proper case breakdown with accounting to disperse correct amounts.
  • Draft demand letters for high-value injury cases.
  • Conduct intake meetings with serious injury clients, assessing their cases and providing legal advice.
  • Manage and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and address questions.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team to prepare cases for potential trial.
  • Conduct regular audits of pre-litigation cases.
  • Collaborate with the team on case strategy, strength of cases, and medical management to enhance case value and obtain policy limits settlements.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • 1-2 years of experience handling personal injury cases.
  • Knowledge regarding medical treatment, case strategy, and experience obtaining policy limits settlements.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience with CRMs such as Case Peer, Dropbox, and Slack (a plus).
  • Bi-lingual (a plus).
