Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in Scottsdale, Arizona. This full-time position offers opportunities for professional growth and flexible scheduling. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in complex civil litigation, with a preference for probate, trust, and estate litigation.

Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation under A.R.S. Titles 14, 36, and 46.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and strategies.
  • Communicate proactively with clients about case status.
  • Evaluate cases and develop tailored litigation strategies.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions and subpoenas.
  • Perform legal research and apply findings.
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings and trials.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, trial, or settlement.
  • Track and meet deadlines and court requirements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to collaboration.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in complex civil litigation.
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong research, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and compassion for clients.
  • Desire to grow in a specialized area of law.
  • Leadership skills and desire to mentor junior attorneys.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active Arizona Bar license.
