Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in California. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. The position requires handling various aspects of the legal process related to secured lending, including civil litigation, title litigation, and potential bankruptcy matters.

Duties

• Conduct initial intake and analysis on files, generating strategy and budget promptly.
• Draft civil litigation documents, including discovery and dispositive motions.
• Review chain of title, pleadings, and foreclosure documents.
• Make court appearances across California and provide timely client updates.
• Field questions from staff and assist in a professional manner.
• Write, review, and edit reports and correspondence for compliance purposes.

Requirements

• Active membership in the CA State Bar, in good standing.
• 2+ years of related experience in the mortgage area preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active CA State Bar membership.

Skills

• Ability to work remotely and in-office efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools like WestLaw or LexisNexis.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
