Job Overview:
A respected family law firm based in San Jose, CA, is actively seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to join its legal team. This is a full-time position for a skilled litigator who is deeply familiar with the nuances of California family law. The ideal candidate will independently handle a complex caseload, oversee junior staff, and appear in court regularly, all while contributing to a collaborative and efficient team environment.

Location:

  • San Jose, California

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate a wide range of family law matters

  • Settle cases and negotiate agreements with opposing counsel

  • Work closely with clients to prepare discovery and respond to legal inquiries

  • Draft memorandums, motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy

  • Represent clients at court appearances, mediations, and hearings

  • Provide legal consultation and guidance throughout case proceedings

  • Monitor legal timelines, deadlines, and court filings

  • Oversee paralegals and legal support staff

  • Maintain and organize case files, discovery materials, and evidence

  • Coordinate special legal projects and initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in family law litigation

  • Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced caseload

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize case-related deadlines

  • Effective problem-solving and time management capabilities

  • Willingness to mentor support staff and contribute to a team-oriented culture

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
