Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney - EOIR in Fort Worth, TX. This role offers a promising opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within an established firm. The position involves managing a caseload, client interaction, and collaboration with a team of attorneys and legal assistants. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person court appearances.

Duties

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a workload of cases.
  • Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as necessary.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law.

  • Strong legal analysis and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
