Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Leasing Attorney with a minimum of eight years' experience in commercial leasing to join its Real Estate Group in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in office, industrial, and retail leases, with solar leasing experience being a plus.

Duties

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases and related agreements.
  • Supervise less experienced leasing attorneys.
  • Interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial leasing.
  • Experience with office, retail, industrial, and life science property leases.
  • Substantial experience representing landlords.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand clients' business objectives.
  • Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
