Job Overview

A law firm seeks an International Employment Associate for a hybrid position in Austin, TX. The role involves supporting cross-border and global employment work, with a focus on employment counseling. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and be eager to engage with a diverse range of clients.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Advise on employment policies and practices.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on reductions in force and other employee terminations.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and counsel on employee mobility.
  • Provide comprehensive employment law advice to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience, domestic and/or international.
  • Experience with international counseling preferred for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.

Education

  • JD from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
