Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level associate to join its telecommunications practice in Houston, TX. The role involves advising clients on commercial, regulatory, and transactional matters within the digital infrastructure ecosystem. This position offers location flexibility, with the primary team based in Washington, D.C.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate commercial infrastructure agreements, including terrestrial and subsea connectivity.
  • Advise on licensing for satellite and spectrum initiatives.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on telecommunications, wireless, and submarine cable matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and structure commercial arrangements bridging technology and policy.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial contracting and transactions.
  • Experience in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or technology sectors preferred.
  • Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulatory frameworks is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
