Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Las Vegas, NV office on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in a law firm environment, with a background in financial/default servicing and a working knowledge of bankruptcy law and procedure. The role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, highly-regulated setting.

Duties

  • Represent financial institutions and other clients in Nevada state and federal courts, focusing on secured creditors' rights.
  • Review and execute Payment Change Notices, Post-Petition Fee Notices, Transfers of Claim, and Proofs of Claim.
  • Conduct Chapter 13 Plan Reviews.
  • Prepare Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay, Objections to Chapter 13 Plans, and related pleadings.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Manage and meet court and client deadlines.
  • Provide clients with respect and excellent service.

Requirements

  • Nevada Bar Membership.
  • Admitted to practice in all courts in Nevada.
  • 3-5 years of legal experience.
  • Background in financial/default servicing.
  • Experience in state and federal civil litigation.
  • Experience with Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active Nevada Bar License.

Skills

  • Excellent grammar, research, and writing skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
