Duties:

• Represent clients in civil and criminal litigation matters across various jurisdictions

• Handle plaintiff-side civil rights litigation involving disability rights, police misconduct, and housing discrimination

• Manage all stages of litigation, from case strategy development through trial and appeal

• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal issues and courtroom strategy

• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and client counseling

• Maintain timely communication with clients and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of post-law school litigation experience

• Prior judicial clerkship or significant hands-on litigation experience preferred

• Demonstrated interest in civil rights, public interest work, or advocacy-based litigation

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment

• Strong commitment to ethical practices and client-focused advocacy

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland Bar, or eligibility to waive in or sit for the next bar exam

Skills:

• Exceptional writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities

• Detail-oriented with superior analytical and critical thinking skills

• Effective interpersonal and client communication skills
