Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for a courtroom-ready professional who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Duties

  • Lead clients through all phases of family law litigation.
  • Draft motions, discovery responses, declarations, and settlement proposals.
  • Represent clients in hearings and conferences, both remote and in-person.
  • Provide strategic communication with clients.
  • Collaborate on strategy, workflow, and case management.
  • Support mediation and collaborative law matters when appropriate.
  • Stay organized and ahead of deadlines with team support.
  • Contribute to internal operations and workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in California and in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of family law experience.
  • Courtroom confidence.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently within a team.
  • Experience with mediation or collaborative law preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with Clio preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California State Bar License.
