Workers Compensation Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Los Angeles, California is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its workers’ compensation defense team. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of legal experience who are eager to develop litigation skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Prior experience in workers’ compensation law is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate motivation, legal aptitude, and a commitment to client service.

Location:

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation cases from inception through resolution

• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations

• Collaborate with clients to collect information and assess claims

• Provide legal guidance throughout the claims process

• Stay informed on changes and developments in workers’ compensation law

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California and in good standing

• 1–3 years of legal experience preferred (training provided for qualified candidates)

• Demonstrated interest or willingness to specialize in workers’ compensation defense

• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license with the California State Bar
