Job Overview:
On behalf of a respected regional insurance defense law firm, applications are being accepted for a full-time Associate Attorney to join the firm’s Workers' Compensation practice in Bristol, Tennessee. This position is ideal for candidates with strong litigation aptitude, academic excellence, and a commitment to high-quality legal service. Prior experience in workers' compensation or civil litigation is preferred, though not required.

Location:

  • Bristol, Tennessee

Duties:

  • Handle all phases of workers' compensation litigation

  • Prepare and argue pretrial motions

  • Conduct depositions and work with expert witnesses

  • Support trial preparation and attend hearings

  • Contribute to legal strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys

  • Assist on civil litigation matters when needed

Requirements:

  • Prior litigation experience preferred

  • Strong communication and case management skills

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with professionalism

  • Subject to successful completion of a background check

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Virginia Bar membership (required)
