SIU Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an SIU Litigation Attorney with over four years of experience for its Westchester, NY office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a passion for combating insurance fraud.

Duties

• Collaborate with SIU departments to defend against fraudulent claims.
• Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud actions, including RICO cases.
• Develop litigation strategies and negotiate complex matters.
• Review assignments and strategize resolutions.
• Draft motions, memorandums, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and examinations under oath.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Prepare and conduct court appearances in State and Federal Court.
• Negotiate settlements and draft related documents.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing and negotiation skills.
• Experience with RICO and affirmative actions preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
