Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of experience to join their Orlando, FL office. The ideal candidate will have experience in Construction Law and handling hearings and depositions, contributing to the firm's growing Commercial Litigation practice.

Duties

  • Prepare cases, legal strategies, and correspondence diligently.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Utilize electronic discovery tools effectively.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and provide client guidance.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Draft motions and briefs with minimal supervision.
  • Manage projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Explain legal terminology to clients clearly.
  • Research unique legal issues and develop solutions.
  • Meet performance goals and adhere to budgets.
  • Supervise paralegal and legal assistant staff.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in Florida.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Litigation Associate.
  • Strong knowledge of state laws and regulations.
  • Experience with large clients and consultations.
  • Outstanding negotiation and client interaction skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with high volume practices.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in Florida.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent planning and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish is helpful.
  • Experience with Filevine and Lead Docket preferred.
