Lead Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A leading creditors' rights law firm is seeking a talented Lead Associate Attorney for its Georgia office. This full-time, hybrid position provides an exciting opportunity for candidates with 3-5 years of litigation or collections experience. The ideal candidate will manage hearings, mentor junior attorneys, and contribute to the firm’s Georgia practice. A Georgia Bar membership is required, with additional compensation for candidates licensed in multiple states.

Location:

• Alpharetta, GA

Duties:

• Assist with the firm’s Georgia practice and oversee litigation matters
• Handle hearings and contested matters in the state of Georgia
• Mentor and guide junior attorneys
• Monitor the progress of cases and develop strategies to bring matters to resolution
• Review documents, financials, notices, and demand letters prior to filing actions
• Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions
• Ensure all internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
• Safeguard compliance with relevant state and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements
• Participate in discovery and trial preparation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation or collections experience (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, volume-based environment
• Proficiency in drafting motions and handling routine, uncontested hearings
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Bar membership in Georgia (required)
• Additional bar memberships in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and/or Pennsylvania are a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar membership in Georgia (required)
