Job Title: Bankruptcy And Restructuring Attorney

Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Overview:
A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a skilled Bankruptcy & Restructuring Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle a range of bankruptcy, restructuring, and litigation matters, demonstrating significant independence and client interaction. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse cases, contribute to the firm’s ongoing success, and engage in various legal matters in bankruptcy law.

Duties:

  • Manage numerous consumer creditor cases independently, with supervision as necessary from senior attorneys
  • Actively engage in bankruptcy, restructuring, and related litigation cases
  • Provide support in drafting and negotiating forbearance agreements, bankruptcy plans, motions for relief, and other related legal documents
  • Represent clients in court on bankruptcy matters and receiverships
  • Prepare motions, briefs, objections, and other key bankruptcy documents
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on bankruptcy and restructuring issues
  • Assist in preparing expert reports and mediation statements
  • Collaborate effectively with the team on complex matters

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a bankruptcy associate
  • Bar admissions in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, or a combination of these states
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and projects effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to client service
  • Experience in litigation preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Ohio

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with local bankruptcy court rules and procedures
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a client-first mindset
