Junior Securities Associate

Calgary office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a junior securities associate with 1-3 years of post call experience at a major Canadian law firm with a focus in securities law. The candidate must have some experience: acting for issuers, underwriters and selling shareholders in domestic and cross-border public offerings and private placement of debt, equity and structured finance products; working with corporations, investment banks, and financial institutions in negotiated and contested mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, independent committee engagements and defence preparations; and dealing with corporate governance matters, disclosure issues, equity and debt trading strategies, as well as regulatory compliance matters. Must be in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.

The candidate must have excellent academic credentials. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Should have a positive attitude and excellent teambuilding skills. Must have an exceptional service ethic and a demonstrated work ethic.
