Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established immigration law firm located in Glendale, CA, seeks an experienced immigration attorney through a legal recruitment partner. This position is ideal for a driven legal professional with extensive experience in removal defense, adjustment of status interviews, family- and employment-based immigration processes, and consular matters. The role demands excellent case management, legal writing, and client communication skills, along with the ability to work within a close-knit and high-performing legal team.

Duties:

  • Oversee a diverse caseload from intake through resolution

  • Supervise paralegals and legal assistants assigned to cases

  • Draft and review briefs, motions, waivers, declarations, appeals, and supporting documentation

  • Conduct legal research and maintain an up-to-date understanding of immigration laws and procedures

  • Represent clients at interviews and hearings, including travel outside the Los Angeles area when necessary

  • Prepare clients for legal proceedings and coordinate supporting documentation

  • Lead client consultations by phone or in person

  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and internal case management protocols

  • Collaborate across the firm to support evolving client needs and legal strategies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing U.S. immigration law

  • Ability to manage at least 100 active matters concurrently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and case accountability

  • Willingness to receive and act on constructive feedback

  • Availability to travel as required for case appearances

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using immigration case management platforms such as INSZoom or similar systems

  • Strategic legal research and brief writing

  • Collaborative team participation and independent case management

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
