Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join the Health Care and Life Sciences group in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a multidisciplinary practice, working closely with senior attorneys and participating in client-facing activities. Duties

  • Advise clients on complex health care regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, Stark Law, HIPAA, licensure, and reimbursement matters.
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures involving health care entities.
  • Engage in a broad range of regulatory matters and business transactions in the health care industry.
  • Interact with government regulators as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of health care experience.
  • Experience in advising on complex health care regulatory issues.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • J.D. degree (or equivalent) with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission in good standing or steps to become admitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • J.D. degree or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction.
