Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Immigration Attorney in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload and supervise paralegals, demonstrating a strong commitment to immigration law. This role requires strategic thinking and excellent communication skills to maintain positive client relationships and ensure high-quality legal representation.

Duties

  • Manage an immigration law caseload and supervise paralegals.
  • Prepare and submit filings for USCIS, DOS, and EOIR.
  • Conduct hearings before EOIR and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Perform records searches under FOIA and conduct background checks.
  • Provide co-counseling assistance to other attorneys.
  • Maintain consistent communication and note-taking with clients.
  • Review open cases for proper recordkeeping and file maintenance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and maintain client relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Managing Attorney.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience in immigration law.
  • Experience with USCIS and EOIR cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically.
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to handle a busy docket.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

  • Strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
