Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Federal Immigration Litigation Attorney in Dallas, TX. This full-time position involves managing federal immigration cases, providing strategic legal support, and drafting comprehensive legal documents. The role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in federal litigation, capable of working independently and offering in-depth legal analysis to support administrative-level strategies.

Duties

  • Manage federal court cases involving complex immigration issues.
  • Draft and file complaints, motions, and briefs for federal cases.
  • Represent clients in federal court proceedings.
  • Provide legal support to administrative attorneys through opinion memos and briefs.
  • Develop strategies for cases that may lead to federal litigation.
  • Draft detailed legal briefs and memoranda for federal litigation.

Requirements

  • Experience in at least three areas: APA challenges, Mandamus actions, Habeas Corpus petitions, Bivens actions, or FTCA claims.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal immigration litigation.
  • Expertise in drafting legal briefs, opinion memos, and research-based memoranda.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with administrative attorneys and enhance case outcomes.
  • High ethical standards and dedication to immigrant rights.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.

Skills

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy skills in federal court settings.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
