Location

Duties

  • Handle a range of family law and criminal defense matters

  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence

  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials

  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and negotiations

  • Manage discovery processes and case files from inception to resolution

  • Consult with potential new clients and assist in client intake

  • Coordinate with legal staff for calendaring deadlines and court dates

  • Report case progress to the Managing Attorney and collaborate with the legal team

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington

  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines simultaneously

  • Demonstrated interest in family law and/or criminal defense

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and strategic legal counsel

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • OR Foreign law degree plus Master of Laws (LL.M.)

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association

Skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Empathetic approach to client relationships

  • Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a legal team

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
