Litigation Associate

A boutique litigation firm with a focus on high-stakes defense is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate with at least two years of experience to join its Transportation Practice Group in San Diego. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation. Location

Duties

• Defend transportation-related and catastrophic personal injury lawsuits

• Manage individual caseloads from inception to resolution

• Draft and respond to written discovery

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Prepare and argue motions, including dispositive motions

• Attend mediations, court hearings, and trials

• Participate in strategic case planning and client communications

• Collaborate with team members and maintain professionalism across all interactions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience to assist with defending catastrophic personal injury claims 

• Experience managing cases independently

• Ability to appear in court, conduct depositions, and draft complex legal documents

• Strong time-management and case organization skills

• Commitment to professional development and collaborative practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active California Bar License (required)
