Job Overview:
A respected law firm with a strong presence in the Carolinas is seeking a Real Estate/HOA Attorney for its Wilmington, North Carolina office. This role focuses on residential real estate transactions and community association (HOA/condo) representation. Location:

  • Wilmington, NC

Duties:

  • Handle residential real estate transactions and closings

  • Advise and represent community associations (HOAs and condominiums) on a range of legal matters

  • Draft and review contracts, covenants, bylaws, and resolutions

  • Assist clients with governance, collections, and dispute resolution

  • Deliver presentations and communicate legal concepts clearly to association boards and homeowners

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm while managing responsibilities independently

  • Support the expansion of the Wilmington office and build client relationships in the region

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)

  • Dual licensure in South Carolina is a plus, but not required

  • Experience in residential real estate or HOA/condo law preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • North Carolina State Bar admission (required)

  • South Carolina Bar admission (preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and drafting skills

  • Clear and confident oral communication

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
