A distinguished law firm is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join its fully remote legal team. Duties

  • Lead and manage workers’ compensation defense cases from start to resolution

  • Represent clients in depositions, WCAB hearings, and settlement negotiations

  • Develop and execute strategic legal plans tailored to individual cases

  • Communicate effectively with clients, claims representatives, medical professionals, and opposing counsel

  • Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with legal support staff

  • Participate in business development and firm-building activities

  • Utilize digital collaboration tools to manage case work remotely

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense law

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload

  • History of successful case resolutions and strong client advocacy

  • Skilled in legal writing, oral advocacy, and courtroom representation

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
