Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Los Angeles is seeking mid-level and senior Real Estate associates to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more areas of real estate law, including mortgage/mezzanine debt, joint-venture equity, acquisitions and dispositions, and/or real estate development. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and a collaborative work environment. Candidates with non-real estate transactional backgrounds will also be considered.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Provide legal expertise in real estate transactions, including mortgage/mezzanine debt (lender and borrower side).
  • Handle joint-venture equity work and advise on acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assets.
  • Assist clients with real estate development projects and related legal matters.
  • Draft and negotiate complex real estate transaction documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure successful execution of transactions.
  • Participate in business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: mortgage/mezzanine debt, joint-venture equity, acquisitions and dispositions, and real estate development.
  • Strong candidates with non-real estate transactional experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in professional development and contributing to a collaborative work culture.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials are required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in California, or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactions, including debt and equity work.
  • Strong drafting, research, and legal analysis skills.
  • Ability to handle complex transactions and provide strategic legal counsel.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
