Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, from inception through resolution.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses, with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court, including hearings, trials, and other judicial proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions in complex litigation matters.
• Engage in strategy development, working closely with senior attorneys to provide effective legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with all New York State Court rules and procedural requirements.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and proactive communication.

Requirements:

• Experience in insurance defense or related practice areas.
• Admission to the New York and New Jersey State Bars.
• Proven experience in handling complex litigation matters and appearing in court.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations.

Skills:

• Litigation and trial experience.
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
• Familiarity with New York State Court rules and procedures.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision.
