Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a driven Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Austin, TX. This position is ideal for both emerging attorneys and those with significant litigation experience looking for professional growth. Duties:

  • Review and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Make court appearances, attend hearings, and participate in legal conferences.

  • Engage in strategic litigation planning and execution.

  • Draft discovery requests and responses, ensuring comprehensive legal coverage.

  • Provide legal counsel to clients and maintain clear, professional communication.

  • Work closely with support staff to oversee various litigation activities.

  • Travel occasionally for court appearances and client meetings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to efficiently manage a high-volume caseload.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex legal issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prior experience in litigation, appraisal, and valuation issues is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the state bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.

  • Ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.

  • Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills.

  • Proficiency in managing discovery processes and meeting procedural deadlines.
