Job Title: Associate Attorney (Estate Planning, Estate/Trust Administration & Probate Litigation)

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Moorestown, NJ, is seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney with specialized experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and probate litigation. This mid- to senior-level role involves independent case management and collaborative client service, offering the opportunity to handle complex legal matters in elder law, fiduciary oversight, tax planning, and trust disputes. The role suits a detail-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to long-term client relationships.

Duties:

  • Handle estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

  • Overseethe  administration of estates and trusts, including probate filings and fiduciary oversight

  • Draft complaints, pleadings, and petitions; coordinate filings with court personnel

  • Prepare and review fiduciary accountings and estate tax filings (state and federal)

  • Advise clients on wealth transfers, tax mitigation, charitable giving, and special needs planning

  • Communicate regularly with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, courts, and financial institutions

  • Stay current on legislative updates and evolving estate, tax, and trust regulations

  • Manage an independent caseload while working collaboratively within a legal team

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of relevant legal experience in estate planning, trust/estate administration, or probate litigation

  • In-depth knowledge of tax law and its application to trusts and estates

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

  • Strong drafting, legal research, and analytical skills

  • Effective communication with both clients and colleagues

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active law licenses in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Legal drafting and litigation strategy

  • Estate and trust taxation

  • Client counseling and interpersonal communication

  • Time management and organizational agility

  • Familiarity with probate and fiduciary processes
