Job Title: Associate Attorney 

Job Overview: An established law firm in Kansas City, MO, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney for its construction litigation team. This role involves engaging with high-impact construction cases, managing complex litigation tasks, and contributing to a collaborative, growth-focused legal environment.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs
• Conduct legal research and analysis on construction-related issues
• Oversee discovery processes, including document review and interrogatories
• Take depositions and participate in trial preparation
• Present arguments in court, supporting clients in all litigation phases
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and execute case plans

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for construction law
• Admission to the Missouri and Kansas Bar
• Demonstrated expertise in legal writing and research
• Self-driven, organized, and proactive in case management

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in both Missouri and Kansas
