Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in Northern California is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in defense workers’ compensation and subrogation matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in defense law and possess strong communication, analytical, and client relations skills. Duties:

  • Represent clients in defense workers' compensation and subrogation cases
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal counsel to clients on workers' compensation matters
  • Appear at hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies
  • Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular updates on case progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in defense law, specifically in workers’ compensation and subrogation matters
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
  • Self-motivated and organized with a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar
