Finance Associate - Restructuring & Special Situations

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a finance associate in Palo Alto, CA, to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team. The ideal candidate will have experience in liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special situations financings. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, representing hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions in both chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Duties

• Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions.
• Engage in DIP and bankruptcy exit financings.
• Participate in special situations financings.
• Work on top-of-the-capital-structure representations.

Requirements

• Experience with liability management transactions.
• Familiarity with DIP and bankruptcy exit financings.
• Knowledge of special situations financings.
• Experience representing financial institutions in chapter 11 cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in California.
