Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its dynamic litigation practice group in Portland, Maine. This hybrid position offers an engaging roster of work in litigation, providing a high level of client interaction and involvement in all aspects of case work.

Duties

• Engage in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings to trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership (or anticipated) in Maine.
