A law firm seeks an admitted Associate Immigration Attorney in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers a promising opportunity for career growth within an established firm. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings at Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a workload of diverse cases.
  • Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of immigration law experience.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with case management software preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law.

Skills

  • Strong legal analysis and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and client interaction abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
