A law firm is seeking a Public Law Attorney for its Indian Wells, CA, location. The ideal candidate will work on complex transactions and provide legal support to cities, special districts, joint powers authorities, and water districts. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling complex transactions and legal matters for public agencies
  • Providing legal support and advice on Public Agency Law
  • Demonstrating advanced writing and research skills
  • Advising on Land Use and Planning issues
  • Attending public meetings and representing clients
  • Collaborating with public agency staff and local elected officials
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts for public entities
  • Offering guidance on the Brown Act, the Public Records Act, and conflicts of interest

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the California State Bar
  • Prior experience in Public Law or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Public Agency Law and related regulations
  • Excellent writing and research abilities
  • Familiarity with Land Use and Planning laws
  • Ability to attend public meetings and effectively communicate with stakeholders

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
