A law firm seeks a Family Law Associate with 2-6 years of litigation experience to join their office in State College, PA. The role involves providing legal counsel on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support issues. Duties

• Provide legal counsel on family law matters such as divorce, custody, and support.
• Communicate regularly with clients and conduct initial consultations.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex family law issues.
• Collaborate with the family law team to develop legal strategies.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.
• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word.
• Experience in state and federal court proceedings.
• Strong writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex litigation from inception to trial.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
