A law firm seeks an Immigration Compliance Attorney in San Juan, PR. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration applications.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as needed.
  • Engage with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
  • Collaborate to ensure compliance with documentation and legal procedures.
  • Advise on compliance best practices and policy changes.
  • Participate in auditing matters to ensure compliance with immigration regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law.

Skills

  • Strong legal analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
