Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Woodland Hills, CA, with a dynamic practice dedicated to real estate and business disputes, including construction defect litigation and issues involving common interest developments, is seeking a litigation attorney. The position is primarily remote, with hybrid work options available. This role is ideal for a proactive litigator with a minimum of three years of relevant experience who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is capable of independently managing all phases of civil litigation.

Duties:

• Handle all stages of litigation, from initial pleadings to trial support

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda and briefs

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including motions and hearings

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Maintain ongoing client communication and case strategy updates

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on litigation experience

• Demonstrated background in construction defect litigation preferred

• Strong legal writing and analytical abilities

• Experience with court appearances and motion practice

• Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines

• Professional demeanor and effective interpersonal communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word with advanced formatting capabilities

• Skilled in Adobe Acrobat, including document editing and PDF management

• Strong legal research skills using major legal research platforms

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

• Excellent verbal communication and client-facing skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy in written work
