Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a dedicated and results-driven litigation associate to join its dynamic dispute resolution team. This position is designed for a mid-level attorney with hands-on experience managing complex civil matters and engaging directly in litigation activities. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters with limited supervision

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and memoranda

  • Handle complex discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and expert coordination

  • Represent clients during motion hearings, settlement conferences, and depositions

  • Participate in strategy development for case planning and trial preparation

  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff across practice areas

  • Support litigation matters in areas such as personal injury, product liability, commercial disputes, employment claims, construction litigation, and workers’ compensation

Requirements:

  • 3–7 years of substantive litigation experience

  • Demonstrated courtroom and motion practice experience

  • Proficiency in managing large-scale discovery and litigation workflows

  • Strong case management and multitasking abilities

  • Experience working on multi-party litigation or in a firm setting is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Missouri or Illinois

  • Willingness to obtain reciprocal licensing if only admitted in one of the two states

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and research capabilities

  • Strong verbal communication and advocacy skills

  • Strategic thinking and a solution-oriented approach to litigation

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
