Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Fund Services Senior Counsel to join their team in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will lead and deepen the practice, working with leading venture capital and growth equity firms both in the U.S. and internationally.

Duties

  • Lead the structuring, formation, and operation of investment funds.
  • Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Provide expertise on the Securities Act, Exchange Act, Investment Company Act, and Investment Advisers Act.
  • Represent investors in private investment funds.
  • Advise on all aspects of investment programs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of fund formation experience.
  • Experience at a national or international law firm.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and client management skills.
  • Expertise in investment fund regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a client-focused environment.
