Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Associate Attorney specializing in Personal Injury in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves assisting with legal documentation, research, and analysis, and partnering with senior attorneys to prepare cases for trial.

Duties

  • Prepare, draft, and file legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Present and argue motions in court and attend hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on case precedents and statutory laws.
  • Participate in the discovery process by drafting requests and responses.
  • Assist in the negotiation and settlement of claims.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with trial teams to prepare cases for trial.
  • Attend legal seminars and workshops for professional development.
  • Manage service of process and draft settlement petitions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Pennsylvania; Ohio or West Virginia admission is a plus.
  • 0-2 years of experience in personal injury law or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and comfort with technology.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • High attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in Pennsylvania; Ohio or West Virginia admission is a plus.
