Job Overview

A law firm seeks an early career Trial Attorney in Chicago, IL. The firm is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services and support to its clients, handling complex personal injury cases with a focus on client commitment and integrity.

Duties

  • Manage a high-volume caseload, overseeing approximately 150 cases, with around 50 actively in litigation each month.
  • Engage with clients, maintaining proactive and transparent communication throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct key litigation activities, including depositions, drafting and responding to motions, and leading mediations.
  • Advocate in trials, serving as lead counsel in jury trials to secure favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law; trial advocacy and/or moot court experience strongly preferred.
  • Active and in good standing with the local State Bar; multiple state bar admissions preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate case strategies and engage effectively with clients and team members.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active State Bar membership.

Skills

  • Strong legal acumen and trial advocacy skills.
  • Excellent client engagement and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing high-volume caseloads.
