Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Partner for its San Francisco, CA office. This role offers a leadership opportunity within the Labor & Employment practice group for a motivated attorney with a strong background in labor and employment defense litigation. The candidate should possess strategic litigation experience, leadership and mentoring skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service. Portable business is considered but not required.

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of labor and employment defense litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Manage and supervise multiple attorneys and legal staff within a collaborative team environment.
  • Defend employers in a broad range of employment matters, including wage and hour disputes, single-plaintiff and class/collective actions, and discrimination claims.
  • Conduct and oversee appearances in both Federal and State courts.
  • Represent clients in investigations and proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor, EEOC, and state and local human rights agencies.
  • Provide strategic counseling and risk management advice to clients on employment-related matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of the practice group.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of employment litigation defense experience.
  • Significant experience handling wage and hour matters and employment class actions.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and management experience.
  • Strong litigation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex employment matters in both Federal and State courts.
  • Admission to practice in California required.
  • Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
