Job Title: Estate Planning Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Gardiner, ME, is seeking a full-time Estate Planning Attorney with a transactional orientation to support its expanding client base in the areas of estate planning, elder law, and small business matters. This role is ideal for an early-career attorney or a legal professional exploring a new specialty. The attorney will operate in a client-centric environment, benefit from close mentorship, and have the opportunity to grow within a collaborative and education-driven practice. No litigation or court appearances are required.

Duties:

  • Provide direct legal guidance to clients on estate planning, elder law, and business formation matters

  • Draft and review legal documentation, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments

  • Participate in client meetings and consultations to gather information and provide strategic recommendations

  • Utilize the firm’s internal systems and legal software for case management and workflow tracking

  • Engage in legal research and self-study to support continuous development in specialized practice areas

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys for training and mentorship

  • Occasionally travel to or speak at legal seminars and client education events

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Maine, or anticipated licensure in the near term

  • Strong interpersonal communication and client engagement abilities

Education:
