Job Overview:
A respected personal injury law firm based in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a caseload of injury cases from initial consultation through resolution or trial. The ideal candidate will be driven, compassionate, and client-focused, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in significant injury matters and directly contribute to securing justice for individuals harmed through no fault of their own.

Location:

  • Columbus, Ohio

Duties:

  • Conduct initial client consultations and case evaluations

  • Investigate and assess potential personal injury claims

  • Draft and file legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel

  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and jury trials

  • Collaborate with medical and legal experts to develop and present damages

  • Manage caseload and ensure all legal deadlines are met

  • Provide direction and oversight to support staff and paralegals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience

  • Experience in personal injury law and familiarity with trial preparation

  • Ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication abilities

  • Proficient in legal research, analysis, and strategy development

  • Effective negotiation and trial advocacy skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
