Job Overview:
A well-established AV-rated law firm with offices in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Orange County is seeking an Entry-Level Litigation Associate to join its team. This role is an excellent opportunity for attorneys early in their legal career to build courtroom experience while working with secured creditors, investors, and property owners. Location:

  • Aliso Viejo, California

Duties:

  • Handle general civil litigation and landlord-tenant cases

  • Appear in court for hearings and case proceedings

  • Draft pleadings, legal motions, and other litigation documents

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel

  • Collaborate with firm staff and attorneys throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of courtroom or litigation experience

  • Prior experience in landlord-tenant or general civil litigation preferred

  • Familiarity with California Civil Procedure

  • Demonstrated reliability and a stable employment history

  • Strong interest in developing litigation skills and courtroom advocacy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of California (Required)

Skills:

  • Legal writing and oral advocacy

  • Knowledge of California landlord-tenant law and civil litigation practices

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
