A law firm seeks a Medical Negligence Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will join a professional liability/medical negligence group, working in a hybrid office/remote setting. They will defend high-exposure matters throughout all litigation phases, representing hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, and individual healthcare professionals.

Duties

  • Develop expert witness and trial strategy.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Draft pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Represent clients during courtroom appearances and arguments.

Requirements

  • 2 to 6 years of practice in civil litigation.
  • Experience in conducting and defending depositions preferred.
  • Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Illinois license is mandatory; Indiana license is a benefit.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
